Public transportation
The Clock and Watch museum is situated at walking distance (about 15 min) of the railway station of Mechelen. You head towards the centre of town until you cross the bridge over the Dijle. You make a left turn immediately after the bridge into the Lange schipstraat. The museum is located near the end of the street on your right-hand side.
If you want to take the bus you best get of in the Bruul or the IJzerenleen. For further information on public transportation in Belgium you can consult NMBS

At this moment the Lange schipstraat is under construction until march 2012. Hence it will be difficult to reach us by car during that period of time. Right now you can drive to our doorstep from the side of Ijzerenleen. To reach us by car you take the highway E19 between Brussels and Antwerp. You take exit number 10 (Mechelen-Zuid) and head to the centre of Mechelen. At the large crossing of the ring around Mechelen you go left and enter the city by the "Brusselsepoort". You take a right by this monument that used to be the gate in the city wall heading for Brussels. You follow hoogstraat, korenmarkt, guldenstraat. When you cross the bridge over Dijle in the centre of town you take a right turn to the lange schipstraat. We are located at 50 m to the left.
From December on this direction of driving will be permanent in our street. You drive in from the side IJzerenleen. On top of that redundant traffic will be banned in the city centre of Mechelen in the future. As a consequence the traffic situation changes from December 7th 2011 on. The lange schipstraat will be situated in the low traffic tolerance zone. Visitors cannot pass through by car between 11 h and 19 h. People who want to drop of or pick up clocks need to drive into our street before 11 am. There is no checkpoint when driving out of the street, so you can leave whenever you want. In case of doubt you can best contact us before visiting by car or bus or park underground at Novotel. We are located at a distance of 100 m. Visitors who would like to park economically for several hours or days can do so at the outskirt of the centre (0,30 € per hour). Closest by is parking Zandpoortvest. You park there for free during the weekend. Parking douaneplein located a bit further is always free of charge.
